An Adi Story

Ava and Adi both came running into the kitchen yelling, "I had it first". Ava runs over to me and says, "Mommy, Adi took my bird, I had it first". Adi says, "No, I had it first". So I have Adi hand me the bird and I ask Ava, "Ava, where did you find the bird". Ava says, "on the floor". I then asked Adi where she found the bird. With squinted eyes and a very stern expression she says, "Ava" and then says, "BUT, I HAD it first". As I laughed, I gave the bird to Ava since the evidence definitely showed that Ava did indeed have it first.
